Depth-Oriented Online Sessions for Creative Souls

For the Sensitive Souls Who Feel Too Much and Crave to Understand Why

In Sonoma County, CA, I offer online therapy to emotionally curious and creative individuals throughout the North Bay Area who are seeking more than surface-level solutions. If you're an artist, writer, or sensitive soul drawn to depth work, parts therapy, and self-exploration, my practice provides a space where all parts of you are welcome.

Serving Sonoma County, CA and beyond, I use an integrative approach combining Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and depth-oriented psychotherapy to support adults and young adults in their 20s, 30s, and 40s who are ready to understand the "why" behind their patterns and move toward greater integration and wholeness.

A Different Kind of Therapy for Sonoma County

My approach to therapy honors the complexity of your inner world. Rather than viewing your struggles as problems to fix, I see them as invitations to explore the rich landscape of your psyche. You're not broken; you're a system of parts that need to be understood, heard, and integrated.

Many of my clients in the North Bay Area come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by inner conflict. One part of them wants one thing while another part pulls in a different direction. They're exhausted from the constant push and pull within themselves. They've often tried traditional therapy before and found it too clinical, too focused on symptoms rather than the deeper patterns at play.

If you're seeking depth, poetic language, and a therapist who understands that healing is a creative unfolding rather than a linear process, this work may resonate with you.

Therapeutic Approach: Integration Through Multiple Modalities

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy

Internal Family Systems forms the foundation of my work with clients throughout Sonoma County. This approach recognizes that we're not one singular self but a system of different parts, each with its own feelings, perspectives, and protective strategies.

In our sessions, we create space for these parts to speak. We approach them with curiosity rather than judgment, learning what they're protecting you from and what they need. This is particularly powerful for creative individuals who have always sensed these internal dialogues but never had a framework to work with them constructively.

The beauty of IFS is that it doesn't pathologize any part of you. Your critical voice, your anxious part, your protective numbness: each has positive intentions and wisdom to share when we learn to listen.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT/Tapping)

While IFS provides a framework for understanding your parts, Emotional Freedom Technique offers a somatic tool for working with the emotions that arise. EFT involves gently tapping on specific meridian points while focusing on particular feelings or experiences.

For sensitive individuals who feel emotions intensely in their bodies, tapping provides a gentle way to work with overwhelming sensations. It helps bridge the gap between talking about your feelings and actually processing them in your nervous system, making the depth work more accessible and sustainable.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT brings another essential dimension to therapy by helping you move toward what matters most, even when parts of you are afraid or resistant. This approach is particularly powerful for those experiencing what I call "languishing in adulthood," that space between depression and flourishing where you're functioning but not thriving.

Through ACT, we cultivate present moment awareness, clarify your values, and identify concrete actions that align with who you truly are. For creative professionals in the North Bay Area, this framework supports moving through creative blocks and building a life that feels authentically yours.

Depth-Oriented Psychotherapy and Shadow Work

Depth-oriented psychotherapy weaves through all the modalities I use. This approach recognizes that your current struggles often connect to deeper patterns and parts of yourself that have been pushed into shadow.

Shadow work (exploring the aspects of yourself you've learned to hide or deny) becomes an essential part of this journey. These shadowed parts often hold tremendous energy and wisdom. In our sessions, we create safety for them to emerge, asking what they have to teach you and how they might be integrated back into your conscious awareness.

Who This Therapy Serves

My approach is designed for:

  • Emotionally curious individuals seeking to understand the "why" behind their patterns

  • Creative souls drawn to expressive, exploratory approaches to healing

  • Artists, writers, and intuitive people who feel things deeply and want their sensitivity honored

  • Those with prior therapy experience ready to go deeper with integrative tools

  • Individuals navigating life transitions and questioning their path in adulthood

  • Sensitive people overwhelmed by inner conflict seeking gentle ways to integrate their parts

I work with adults and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and the unique challenges of languishing in adulthood, that murky territory where you're surviving but not fully living.

What to Expect in Online Therapy Sessions

I provide online therapy sessions to clients throughout Sonoma County, the North Bay Area, and California. This format offers flexibility while maintaining the depth and intimacy necessary for transformative work.

Initial Consultation: We begin with a conversation to explore what support you're seeking, what you've already tried, and whether we feel like a good fit. This gives you a felt sense of what it's like to be in session with me.

Intake Process: Over the first three appointments, we explore different aspects of your life: family, cultural, social, medical, and mental health history. This collaborative process helps us understand the context that has shaped who you are.

Ongoing Sessions: After intake, we identify three to five goals to guide our work. I prefer meeting weekly at a regularly scheduled time, as consistency creates the safety needed for deeper parts to emerge. Between sessions, I often provide prompts for reflection, journaling, or creative engagement with the parts we're exploring.

Please note: I do not offer crisis services. This work is designed for individuals seeking growth, integration, and deeper understanding.

Languishing in Adulthood: A Specialty Focus

One of my specialties is supporting individuals who are languishing, experiencing that gray zone between depression and flourishing. You're going through the motions of adult life while feeling disconnected from meaning and vitality.

This experience is particularly common among creative, sensitive people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s during significant life transitions. Perhaps you've reached a milestone and realized your life doesn't look like you imagined. Maybe you've achieved success but feel empty rather than fulfilled.

We approach languishing as a messenger, exploring what this experience is trying to tell you, what parts have been silenced, and what aspects of your authentic self are calling to be reclaimed. This work involves both grief and possibility, mourning what didn't come to pass while opening space for new directions.
